こんばんは is the hiragana --> Greeting For " Good Evening" as we all know
今晩わ is the kanji, but i think its supposed to be written as 今晩は, which supposedly means : This evening is- OR tonight is-, (Well evening is close to night so it makes sense),
According to internet sources, わ is used for greetings written by young girls usually or something like that. I think its similar to how they say "wakannai".

This also explains a bit on the history and origin for it.
