Guys, need help here. ^^

 

This is an intransitive verb, is that as in English or as in Japanese?

If it is so, how should I translate this sentence using this verb?

"Whenever Rita passes by the corridor, (this corridor is a typical school premise) the eyes of boys turns into shinning heart shaped bubbles."
