Radical memory helper: COME and get your rice from under the lid.

(the combination of the lid on the rice looks like a pot... yum steamed rice...)

Radical memory helper 2: Fire will CAUSE rice in a pot to BECOME COOKED DUE to heat. NEXT-up you can COME and get your rice from under the lid.

(Recall that the rice kanji looks like the tree kanji on fire...now just add the lid and describe the cooking process)
