I'm learning from this website.

It's 10-15 kanji per chapter.

I also posted about kanji and after searching in the web abit I found out that everyone recommend to first learn recognize the kanji and its stroke order

and only then practice how to read it since there are alot of different ways to pronounce and depend on the sentence and the word...

I started learning kanji few days ago from this website, memorizing 10-15 a day and so far I know 42 kanji.

P.S

I know that in Japan, students learn kanji from 2nd (or 1st?) grade all the way to 12th grade 2000~ kanji. So if you learn 15 a day you can learn all 2000 in 4-5 months.

Most importantly, dont rush it, take your time studying them. My tip is, everyday practice all the previous kanji you learnt. That's how I do it and it works great for me :).

minna-san, konnichiwa. I'm about to learn kanji too, but since I learn it by myself, I'm a bit confuse. Do i have to start learning from kanjis with least stroke? Or is it better to learn any kanjis of common words used in daily conversation? or maybe you have better idea how to start? Arigatou, minna~san (^-^)

Hello there ^^

I've found myself liking a lot of J-pop as well and learning new words through it c: You start to notice how many words are used very often, so I made sure to learn them. I don't know if it actually helps with everyday life, though ; u ;

Hi! You could try to look up at other sites, actually. I haven't been sniffing around here in this site but what I do know is that the basic Kanji one should learn are the Kanji for JLPT N5. JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) has five levels and N5 being the easiest. So if you will search that, I'm quite sure you will find what you are looking for. The list is very much easy because if you do it yourself, like searching for words that you think are easy, well, it will be hard. There are some that are very hard to write without learning the basic stroking order first. A beginner (N5 level) should be able to master about 300-500 kanji, being the easiest kanji characters there are. Also keep in mind that some Kanji has 音読み (Onyomi) and  訓読み (Kunyomi). Chinese reading and Japanese. Anyway, good luck with the Kanji! :)
