Could anyone help me with the meaning of this sentence, please?
"The bottom has fallen out of the market." doesn't make much sense, does it?

It's an English Idiom, it basically means that sales for a product or stocks have dropped or are dropping at an alarming rate. It is quite often used for the sharemarket as well, when the market is in freefall.
For the Japanese, this is likely to be a translation of the English Idiom, rather than something that people say regularly, but
