About me

Native Japanese born and brought up in Japan, I have three years' experience of teaching Japanese. I am a qualified teacher and trained in teaching Japanese.

Qualifications & Experience

I am a qualified Japanese teacher with:

  • a Japanese language teaching competency qualification (日本語教育能力検定)
  • 420 hours of Japanese teaching training (日本語教師養成講座420時間修了)
  • three years' experience of one-on-one teaching in Australia

Teaching Approach

  • Communicative classes (mainly speaking and listening, but reading and writing could be your homework in order to fully understand Japanese)
  • Grammar is learned in context
  • Flexible teaching style depending on needs of each student
